This is Scripture Roundtable 44 from The Interpreter Foundation, in which we discuss the Doctrine & Covenants Gospel Doctrine Lesson #40, Finding Joy in Temple and Family History Work, bringing in various insights to help us better understand the scriptures and church history. These roundtables will generally follow the 2013 Gospel Doctrine schedule of scriptures, a few weeks ahead of time.
Panelists for this roundtable include Cassandra Hedelius, Stephen Smoot, and Lincoln Hale.
A reference is made to Brigham Young saying modern conveniences would free us up for temple work: https://rsc.byu.edu/vol-3-no-3-2002/brigham-young-disciple-indeed

New.FamilySearch.org is ending as an active database the end of this year 2013. Go to Family Tree at FamilySearch.org which is the replacement for new.familysearch.org.
You can also add photos and stories to your ancestors, collaborate with others, change incorrect data, and add sources to people in Family Tree.
Users of new.FamilySearch have been encouraged for months to move to Family Tree so it’s not a surprise to anyone using the Church systems on a regular basis.
