How to Watch the Live Stream Online of the Science & Mormonism Symposium

The 2013 Interpreter Foundation symposium “Science & Mormonism: Cosmos, Earth, & Man,” is coming up three weeks from today on November 9, 2013.  As we noted earlier, full details of the program, schedule, bios, abstracts, and other information have been posted to the Interpreter website.  Look under the “Events” menu tab.

We are pleased that registrations for the symposium have completely sold out, with almost 600 registered to attend. We’re sorry that we could not make room for more, but our venue limits us.

For those who were not able to register, or who are not local or able to make the trip to Provo, we will be providing free live streaming in HD video and sound of the symposium as it takes place.  This stream will be available for viewing online via YouTube Live, and is viewable from any Internet-connected computer or mobile device anywhere in the world.

To view the symposium online, simply go to the YouTube page which will be showing the video stream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEtdclSQ5d8), and click on the play button.  There you can also discuss the symposium in real-time with other viewers by adding your comments on the YouTube page.  You can also watch the stream from the Interpreter website Live Video Stream page, but will be unable to comment with other viewers.  Only in-person attendees will be able to submit questions to the presenters.  Make sure your computer or mobile device can view YouTube videos without problems, and that you are on a sufficiently fast internet connection such as DSL or cable broadband (dial-up or cellular data networks are probably insufficient).  To view the video full-screen, simply click the lower right-hand icon in the YouTube video player.

Recorded videos of the symposium will also be made available online in the days following the conference on Interpreter’s YouTube channel and website.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the live streaming of the symposium, and we’ll be glad to answer them.
