It is evident to scientists and university communities that the Earth’s environment is in peril. What is less clear is how humanity ought to respond to this peril—a response that requires rigorous consideration of ourselves, our world, and how we might best live in relation to it.
The Jordanian Lead Books
Thursday, October 11, 7:00 pm
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 900 North 1500 East in Logan, UT
The event is free and open to the public.
The mysterious and controversial lead books found in Jordan are not all modern fakes as has been widely asserted. Metal tests show that some are ancient, and a group of scholars has begun the translations. Visit The Centre for the Study of the Jordanian Lead Books at www.leadbookcentre.com.
Margaret Barker will introduce her work on one small book, showing how the archaic Hebrew script can be read and the symbols interpreted. The little book tells of the Temple, the Messiah, Eden, Jerusalem, a Lady represented by a Bee and her honeycomb, and her children the prophets.
Dr. Barker thinks this lead book represents the teachings of Isaiah and his disciples who fled south east from Jerusalem into the desert to escape the corruption in Jerusalem.
I agree with Greg: When (and where) will the video, audio, transcript be available? Thanks.
I remember James E Talmage saying something to the effect that
The problem of natural disasters is caused by the elements of the earth rebelling against the wickedness of man.
I would like to see how the scientists would solve that problem.
When will the video, audio, transcript be available? Any live video or audio access?
