Wow! This is amazing Lynne. Thank you so much for your research and expertise in sharing and explaining these important insights.
Excellent insights. I very much appreciated this article and its well-balanced approach to veil symbolism in the New Testament.
Thank you, Lynne! I have drawn much from your previous work on this and related topics in my own research, and this article gives us some new insights and updates. God bless you for your efforts!
Lots of interesting ideas here, thank you. I find myself a thoroughly independent western woman. However I have always liked wearing my veil in the (LDS) temple. Aside from all the things you’ve mentioned above, I think this is mainly because it gives me a greater sense of privacy while I pray and worship.
Thank you for this interesting article. Lots to consider here.
A very valuable contribution with lots to consider. Thanks for updating our understanding of an important part of the New Testament that many often downplay, overlook, or excuse.
Dr. Wilson,
I have a Bachelor degree in ANES from BYU. I’ve been working on the ancient use and symbolism of the woman’s veil in the OT compared to ANE icons and laws. Currently, my husband and I are serving missions and would like to have an opportunity to speak with you. Would you be available for a phone call? Sincerely TK Plant
Certainly,
Also, this article is only part of one chapter of my book,
Christ’s Emancipation of NT Women–it has far more information than the article on the subject.
